Savanna Brings Taste of South Africa to Belladrum

Premium cider brand Savanna took a slice of South African sunshine to Belladrum Tartan Heart 2018 this summer, bringing the Savanna Braai House to the music festival and sharing samples with more than 20,000 revellers.

Hailing from South Africa, Savanna welcomed music fans and performers to its pop-up Braai House where they could savour chilled cans of its premium Savanna Dry and Savanna Cross cider throughout the three-day event.

Fresh from their performance on the Festival’s Seedlings Stage, Scottish pop band Folda dropped in to sample the South African hospitality, while thousands of festival goers enjoyed free samples in the Savanna tent.

During the festival, over 7,000 440ml cans of Savanna Dry and more than 1,000 330ml cans of hops-infused Savanna Cross were consumed, translating to 3,247 litres of Dry and 420 litres of Cross.

Amy Burns, Marketing Manager at Distell, said: “Our Braai House brings together some of South Africa’s greatest passions; the outdoors, fantastic music, and having a good time with friends, all while allowing people to enjoy a Savanna cider. As a brand, our focus is to bring people together to have fun, and our pop-up at Belladrum certainly did that. We were lucky enough to also be able to invite four Savanna fans to the festival free of charge through a competition on our social media channels. This is one of many traditional Braai experiences we are hosting across the UK in a bid to bring a taste of South Africa and our premium cider to people across the nation.”

An established brand within the global drinks market, Savanna’s core cider, Savanna Dry, offers consumers the ultimate refreshment through its crisp, dry taste, providing an alternative to traditionally sweet ciders.

Joe Gibbs, founder and promoter of Belladrum Festival, said: “Savanna’s Braai House was a fantastic eye-catching addition to Belladrum this year and provided a great new bar experience for our customers throughout the weekend.”
