National Theatre Makes Every Sip Count as it Teams with One Gin in Not-For-Profit Initiative

The National Theatre has announced an exciting new partnership with One Gin, the artisanal gin brand helping One Foundation to tackle the global water crisis.

The partnership will see the gin served across all the National Theatre’s food and beverage outlets including restaurants House, Terrace and the Green Room as well as craft beer pub, the Understudy. The collaboration emphasises the National Theatre’s continued commitment to sourcing and serving sustainable produce and products wherever possible.

The One Foundation was established in 2005 and follows a very simple idea: selling bottled water to fund water projects. The foundation works with carefully selected local partners around the world to implement life-changing programmes in sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene. Funding the expansion of water utility infrastructures into poor communities, One Foundation pursues universal access to safe, clean water.

Neil Brooke, Head of Catering Operations at the National Theatre, comments: “Discovered through our partnership with the Sustainable Restaurant Association, One Gin ticks all the right boxes for our food and drink offer at the National Theatre. We loved the gin from the moment we tasted it and knowing that it supports such a worthy cause through every purchase, it is the perfect collaboration for us.”

Ian Spooner, Co-founder at One Gin says: “We’re delighted to be partnering with the National Theatre. Now you can enjoy an award-winning G&T during your next performance and help to raise funds for life-changing water projects at the same time.”

So far, the brand has raised over £17 million, changing the lives of over 3 million people. One Gin was launched in 2017 on World Water Day as part of this journey, aiming to raise £20 million by 2020.
